BIMBA Y LOLA
Problem
Bimba y Lola sought to create a distinctive perfume collection that would translate the brand’s identity and storytelling into a strong product design concept. The challenge was to express the narrative of the brand—rooted in the relationship between two sisters—while ensuring a cohesive visual language that could unify the collection.
The design also needed to balance individuality and connection, creating two distinct objects that would feel part of the same universe.
Solution
I developed a concept-driven creative direction inspired by the idea “Free as the sea, enduring as a seashell.” The approach translated the symbolism of shared origins and dual identities into a sculptural perfume design.
The process included:
Designing a dual-bottle concept based on the symbolism of the seashell
Creating a shared sculptural base to ensure visual coherence
Developing two evolving forms to express distinct personalities
Defining the color, material, and storytelling language of the collection
Leading the overall art direction and visual communication of the product
Impact
The final design created a strong and memorable product identity that reflects both unity and contrast. The collection successfully embodies the brand’s narrative through form, symbolism, and visual storytelling, resulting in a cohesive yet expressive perfume concept that strengthens Bimba y Lola’s creative positioning.
